Worker's Physiology

Worker's physiology is concerned with the study of the workers' physiology related to their work. It studies grip, strength, lifting ability, and many others physiological factors that have to be well considered for job design. Work place arrangement, job design, and equipment design need the study of physiological factors. Physical capabilities of workers can be obtained from industrial engineering handbook. The 'Ergonomics' often, called human factor engineering is used to study the relationship between machine and man of a work. The objective of applying ergonomics is to fit the work to the body rather than forcing the body to confirm to the work. It aims in safety, comfortability, and efficiency at work through good relationship between machine, material, man environment and methods. It tries to design job, arrange machines, and equipments, considering the physiological factors of workers.
